Indonesia has sought defence technology from India to bolster its security apparatus amid Chinese expansionist tendencies in the region. Southeast Asia's biggest nation is exploring joint defence production with India, and is considering the possibility of jointly producing military vehicles and water cannons.
Pinaka-ER Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher System jointly designed by laboratories of DRDO - Armament Research & Development Establishment, Pune and High Energy Materials Research Laboratory, Pune, successfully tested at Pokharan range.
India successfully tested multi-barrel rocket launcher system with extended range at Pokharan range, on Saturday. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in a statement said that successful tests of Pinaka Extended Range (Pinaka-ER), Area Denial Munitions (ADM) and indigenously developed fuzes have been carried out at various test ranges. The system is jointly designed by laboratories of DRDO - Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE), Pune and High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), Pune.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said India will soon be manufacturing 90 per cent of the defence products it needs within the country and by 2024-2025, it will also export such products worth USD 5 billion.
