The DRDO has today successfully flight tested the Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle using the indigenously developed scramjet propulsion system which is another booster shot for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ & ‘Make in India’. Besides its utility for long-range cruise missiles of the future, the dual-use technology will have multiple civilian applications also. It can be used for launching satellites at a low cost too. Minister of Defence Shri Rajnath Singh lauded the DRDO on this successful test. Congratulating DRDO and the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Tribhuvan Darbari, MD & CEO – Texmaco (Adventz Group) tweeted, “Heartiest congratulations to Mr. Satheesh Reddy, Chairman, DRDO & his team on this unprecedented success & push to Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of ‘AtmaNirbharBharat'”

According to the news published on the NDTV website, Mr. Rajnath Singh said in a tweet, “I congratulate to DRDO on this landmark achievement towards realising PM’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. I spoke to the scientists associated with the project and congratulated them on this great achievement. India is proud of them.”
The HSTDV, based on hypersonic propulsion technologies, has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Mr. Tribhuvan Darbari says that the successful test has demonstrated India’s capabilities for highly complex technology that will serve as the building block for next-generation hypersonic vehicles in partnership with the domestic defence industry.
The HSTDV powers cruise missiles are operated on scramjet engines which can attain the speed of around Mach 6 which is far better than ramjet engines, the officials said.
On behalf of Texmaco Defence Systems Private Limited, Mr. Tribhuvan Darbari congratulated the team DRDO and the Ministry of Defence on this illustrious success.
